Game crashes

Hi everyone, new here and i've been enjoying F1 2017 on xbox one x up until 10 minutes ago - the game keeps crashing at a special event race at the Bahrain short circuit with multiple classes (C1 and C2) racing. Is there a fix for this coming soon? I really enjoy this game and was planning on playing it during the Christmas break 

EDIT: The temporary work around solved the issue for now. It wasn't working before for some reason - I uninstalled the game then reinstalled then shut down the network and it worked.

PC - Downshift not working in online lobby (video proof)

Hej everyone.

When in an online lobby I sometimes cannot downshift in the race.
The downshift paddle on my wheel works but the game (in race) doesn't register it. I know this because it is working fine in the menu's.

I was recording this for a league race so I have video proof:

2:10 - I notice that downshift is not working
2:38 - I go into the menu to see if my shiftpaddles are working. Also see that while in the menu, the computer takes over and shifts like normally. I can go from on tab to the other one. I use button 1 and 2. Which are the paddles on my wheel.
3:00 - I try looking at my settings and reset the paddle up and down
3:25 - Still not working
5:18 - At this point I disconnected the wheel. turned it on and off. Still didnt work
8:40 - I quit the game and restart the computer. 
10:38 - After rejoining the lobby I start last place. I check the paddle it magically works again.

This is very very anoying and happenned to me 4 times so far. Always online after I was invited into a lobby.

I'm using a Thrustmaster T300 with F1 add-on.
This occurred on version 1.10 and 1.11

Any help is really appreciated

AI is unable to change tyres when weather is changing

At Malaysia the weather has changed from dry to light rain and some of the other drivers finished with 11 pit stops. Still with slicks instead of inters. Anyone aware of this problem? I am playing on Xbox One X.

Tyre Wear Percentages being skipped

Just a hunch, but I think this may be part of the reason why the human's tyre wear is bad compared to the AI - i.e. human loses say 0.9s/lap on the softest compound after 20 laps, while the AI is still doing the same laptimes.

The tyre wear skips percentages, most notably it always goes from 4% to 6%, and 9% to 11%, and then later on it seems to similar percentages (sometimes 22%, for example), so, if it skips say 10 different percentages until you reach 50%, that could be 4 laps less tyre life than what you should be getting. This would also explain why our tyre wear doesn't really mimick real 2017 F1 tyres.

Someone will probably say that "it only skips it in the HUD" but I am not convinced, due to the reasons above.

Thrustmaster f1 add on suport

Hi, the game have one problem. When you conect a thrustmaster TS-PC or TS-XW or T-GT with F1 ADD WHEEL, the game dont recognase The wheels IF you put on adcanced mod (config). With T-500 work ver well. Please add on suport for it.

F1 2017 Crashing

So i just got the F1 2017 game and i have started career mode. I have completed the first race in australia and i'm a the first Invitational Event. But everytime i have driven just on lap the game keeps going to black screen and then to the Xbox home screen. I have tried to restart the game multiple times, reset my game data and reinstalled the game. I even returned the game (disk) and bought it online from the Xbox store, but it keeps happening. I really don't know what to do. I have googled a bit and i seem to not be the only person with this issue. Please help me, this "bug" makes the game unplayeble. HELP!

Can't complete more then 1 lap in time trial before game crash

Hello. I think this is the right way to report a bug so I am going to give it a go. I am on Xbox One Version 1.11 on time trial. 3 times in a row now I've had the game crash on me after my first flying lap at Bahrain on TT. To be more specific it happens when you cross the line to start the second lap. The game crashes and immediately goes to the home xbox screen.

Sound Bug

I have a Sound bug where i got always Dropouts every second... patch 1.11 tried the Things ( widowed and full screen, other mistakes from old games...) which was Problem earlier... does somebody an idea ?

When i Play the game, the Sound has always Dropouts every 2 seconds and this is everywhere: From the Sound of the Motor to the inromusic... Does someone now how to fix this ? thx

Qualifying Bug (F1 2017 1.3 XboxOne) and few others

This happened in my first qualifying in my career at Australia. So condition in Q1 was interesting; there was light rain whole session, but game said that it's about 2 seconds faster to use ultrasofts than inters. So everyone uses ultras. I was P6 after my first lap and I decided to test inters. My lap time was second slower than my first lap but my position was still P6 when I went over the finish line. It would have been great Q1, but when graphic went to screen to say that I was P18, I was confused. Then I went to the session results and almost everyone who were ahead of me had lap time (1:24.0-1:26.5) what they would've been done with dry conditions, not with wet track and light rain. My lap time was 1:37.7. So I think the condition can't change like in one second from wet to dry. I was very disappointment after this happen, but luckily this was just my training career, but I don't want to see this kind of bug again in my main career. Also it would be better if you could choose tyres between dry and wet tyres when you start race in 50/50 wet/dry tyres condition. Also online races have been just disqualifications when I go over the finish line (yeah I have heard this is popular problem)

Error connecting host game F1-2017 Playstation 4

Hi everyone,

We have some problems with the game F1-2017 and the multiplayer game, when we try to connecting to a host game and being a host. It is not possible to join a game. 

 We get the error:

“failed to join the session” and “Error failed to join the session, session no longer exist”

We are both connected to a router we have a static ip address in our ps4 firewall is disabled. Both of the playstations has a nat type: 2 connection.

We tested with port forwarding : TCP ports 80, 443, 1935, 3478-3480 UDP 3074, 3478-3480  'no connection'

We also tested with DMZ enabled to both of the playstations 'no connection'

Is there a way to play online a multiplayer lan game??

Any help would be much appreciated Thanks!!!

Career Mode - Broken Team Objectives

I've done 5 seasons of career mode now and I've only just noticed that 3 team objectives are broken. 

The 3 I've recently noticed are: 

Spain - clean lap 

Monaco - clean lap (not fully broken but doesn't always register) 

Baku - Speed Trap 

The Baku one is 100% broken because even with 1 - 1 wings you don't beat the average speed trap speed 

I remember in season 1 I had an engine upgrade and it needed to register a increase in top speed. I could visually see the increase but again, it wasn't registering

I believe those are the only 3.
I reported this back in September, not fixed

F1 2017 D-Box and UDP Output Specification

Overview

The F1 series of games support output of game data to external devices such as D-BOX, other motion platforms, steering wheels and LED devices that are connected to your PC or console. The purpose of this document is to summarise the data that is outputted so that developers of supporting hardware or software are able to configure these to work with the F1 game correctly.

This thread provides an updated spec for the UDP output system in F1 2017. The previous thread for F1 2016 was located here: http://forums.codemasters.com/discussion/46726/d-box-and-udp-telemetry-information. Please use this thread to post any bugs with the F1 2017 UDP system, or to suggest further refinements you'd like to see in future.


D-BOX Output

D-BOX output is currently supported on the PC platform. In F1 2017, the D-BOX activation is controlled via the menus instead of the hardware settings config file. Navigate to Game Options->Settings->UDP Telemetry Settings->D-BOX to activate this on your system.


Enabling the UDP Telemetry Output

In F1 2017, UDP telemetry output is controlled via the menus on all platforms. To enable this, enter the options menu from the main menu (triangle / Y), then enter the settings menu - the UDP option will be at the bottom of the list. From there you will be able to enable / disable the UDP output, configure the IP address and port for the receiving application, toggle broadcast mode and set the send rate. Broadcast mode transmits the data across the network subnet to allow multiple devices on the same subnet to be able to receive this information. When using broadcast mode it is not necessary to set a target IP address, just a target port for applications to listen on.


Advanced PC Users

You can additionally edit the game’s configuration XML file to configure UDP output. The file is located here (after an initial boot of the game):

...\Documents\My Games\<game_folder>\hardwaresettings\hardware_settings_config.xml

You should see the tag:

<motion>
  ...  <udp enabled="false" broadcast=”false” ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" sendRate=”20” />	  ...</motion>

Here you can set the values manually. Note that any changes made within the game when it is running will overwrite any changes made manually.


New This Year
  • Fixed bug where UDP information wasn't saved after a restart
  • Added UDP option into in-game pause menu so settings can be configured and tested straight away
  • Updated PC version to use in-game UI menus
  • Added additional vehicle and session information into the UDP output

F1 2017 PC FPS drops

Hi everyone,

After getting the game today, I have noticed that i get fps drops every 10-20 minutes or so. The rest of the time i have a steady 60-70 fps, but sometimes it just drops to unplayable rates. After some 20 seconds, the fps rises again to normal. Does anyone have an idea what might cause this? I had no trouble with this problem whatsoever running f1 2016 on high settings.

My PC specs:
AMD Athlon x4 860k cpu
AMD R9 380 gpu
8gb ram

F1 2017 Multiplayer connection

I am completely unable to connect to any servers in multiplayer.  I click custom, get a huge bunch of servers, click the top one, get "joining session please wait" then a few seconds afterwards "Error failed to join session".  I go through about 20 of these with the same result and then just give up.
Seriously thinking about getting a charge back as I only really bought it for MP.
Is there anything I can do to solve this?  All other online games work fine.

Multiplayer issue

First:Sorry for my grammar etc., I am from Germany

Every time I join a session in multiplayer (doesn't matter if it's public MM or personal lobby) I have to wait 5 minutes or more and then I get the error ("failed to join session") and get back into the main menu.

I run the game on Xbox One with Controller and on German

Ps: trying to connect to sessions since 3 hours nonstop

My multiplayer stats got reset when I tried to play online just now - can you reinstate them please? I was around level 29 with about 10 wins from 88 races.

I'm on Xbox One with gamertag Imhotep222.
