Suddenly LOW FPS unplayable!!! [PC] F1 2018

Hello,
yesterday i downloaded the game and started playing. Everything was all fine i had a great performance the FPS was great. So today i started the game and went into the carrer modus after the loading screen suddenly the game is all stuttering and im having like the whole time 10 fps. It wont get better even when i set the game on minimum graphics but just yesterday i played it on high graphics with awesome FPS and no laggs or anything. But today it is unplayable, i tried already redownloading the game and let steam search for problems and i deleted the savegames. But still it is unplayable!!! I really want to play badly but i cant i hope for help here!!!

BUG: Inputs don't work in Replay Mode

In 30 minutes of playtime I already had this problem twice. When entering the Replay Mode, the keyboard inputs are apparently ignored when I move my steering wheel before I press a key on the keyboard, for example to use a flashback. I have to exit the game with Alt+F4. (My steering wheel is an old Logitech Momo Force Feedback)

Career mode bug-my race results deleted

Hey, I just finished my first round of career mode coming 6th in the force India just ahead of ocon. When I loaded back into the work station the stats said  my average finish was 29th and I had no points (also my rep went down with most teams). Platform PS4, Game version 1.04, using a G29

[PC] [Career Mode] AI Lap Times Bug

  • Platform: PC
  • Version: 1.04
  • Game Mode: Career

During practice and qualifying, I've noticed that if I use the Return to Garage option, any AI lap times that have been set in that moment are positioned out of order on the timing sheet.

For instance:

14th Driver X 1.27.9xx
15th Driver Y 1.28.3xx
16th Driver Z 1.28.1xx

Example 1
Example 2


If the same AI then sets a new or faster time (I'm not sure which at the moment, it could be either) while I'm in the garage, then the position order is corrected.

Alternatively, if the erroneous time stays until the end of the session, it's then deleted and the AI's previous best time is used and their position order is corrected.

DLC Code not working (PS4)

Hello I have problem with the dlc code. I used the code at the PS Store and the system said everything was fine but when I want to choose the BMW or Brawn it says that this Cars are only available with the Code.

Is there anybody with the Same Problem?

F1 2018 Fuel practise program fault [PC]

When I was doing the fuel consumption practise program in career mode (first race, fp2, Red Bull, pro career) I was noticing that even before the first corner I was all the way up in the purple even though I was pushing hard. After that I didn't go lower, it stayed max in the purple.

Game breaking bug, lagspikes, slowdowns. [PC]

Hi everyone,

I am experiencing a massive, nearly game breaking bug. I get a HUGE amount of lagspikes/slowdowns. In race, in time trial, event mode,...
It slows down, then speeds up and puts me into a wall. 
They happen, sometimes every 5 minutes, sometimes every 20 seconds, sometimes only every 10 minutes.
These are just at random, sometimes when doing more intensive workloads in the game. Randomly freezed and speeds up. Very, very annoying.
I have experienced multiple other bugs, too much to even begin.

You know, I and everyone on this forum payed for this game. You expect a finished product, or at least a day one patch. Something!
Very disappointing and it just ruins the first impression of codemasters and f1 games for everyone.

Specs: Ryzen 1300x (small OC, but always stable, even in other games and in aida64); GTX 1060 3gb (zotac), 8gb ram(ddr4 @2666).
Normal cpu, gpu and ram usage.

If needed, I can provide game information files and video fragments.

Platform: PC,

Xbox One - Gamertags not appearing in online races

Hi. This might have been reported earlier but I haven't seen any specific thread dedicated to this issue. Basically, in online races (I've only experienced this in ranked lobbies), most of the time, gamertags don't appear wich makes it difficult to know who you are racing against.

F1 2018 Safety Car - AI overtakes, ghosting

  • Platform you’re on : Xbox One X
  • Game Version : 1.03
  • Game Mode : Career
  • What happened in the lead up to the problem?: AI ignores safety car and overtakes, randomly I get ghosted behind SC and AI overtakes me, SC started after flashback without any reason
  • Any accessories you are using (wheel, pad, etc): Thrustmaster TX with F1 wheel
  • Used rules : no assists, AI on 80, SC ON, Strict corner cutting, 25% race length
... well, I've encountered this bug in previous years and all promises to fix it looks like a lies ... I understand, that a mistake can happen, but this bug was reported last year multiple times (including me) and forced me to uninstall twice the F1 2017 and then never come back! So I hope Codemasters doesn't ignore this bug anymore and will fix this in 2018. It really makes me angry again, because I was hour in practice and qualification and now get a ruined race because of SC.


Anyway, I have now two suspects for causing this ... First one is flashbacking. And second one is a mechanical failures on the car.
During initial laps, Jeff told me he sees some wear on multiple components and they will not give me 100% of power. Lap before the captured incident happened, I've lost a gear (not sure which one, because 4-8 were working great. Anyway, I am now slower so Ricciardo was faster and catched me in on the straight up to turn 2, but he didn't overtake me, he crashed into me and caused a terminal damage as I crashed the wall on left. I flashbacked before and made sure that he has plenty of space for his overtake as I struggle with pace. Anyway, after flashback, a SC message apeared and he slowed, so I was able to stay on the first place. After one turn, the video starts. Ricciardo overtakes me ...
... Then I flashbacked and blocked him during the lap, changed my strategy so I pitted and got behind the SC with Grosjean behind me, I got ghosted and he has overtaken me as he drive through me. I flashbacked and again tried to block. After few tries, I got 5 seconds penalty for major crash with Grosjean as he crashed again into me and broke his wings ... I flashbacked ... I flashbacked ... I flashbacked ... I really hate the game again now.
  • Now I think if the AI doesn't see that I have some mechanical damage on the car as I lost a gear and multiple components are failing so I am now slower in the race and they overtakes me very quickly.
  • Also, I haven't found any reason for the SC, it simply started as I flashbacked after terminal damage to my car

Multiplayer bugs

Oh my god, why this game is so messed up...
1) Optimalization is really bad. I need to use low graphic settings. On austria and germany i do have drop to 20-30 fps.
2) My car stuck in pitlane for a 11 LAPS (i tried to restart game but it didnt work, i left the lobby, but after few minutes i got information that my car suddenly left the pit-lane)...
3) Some cars in spectator mode has broken engine speed and sound of this cars is awful.
4) Sometimes cars stuck in pit-lanes (but only in spectator mode or minimap).
5) It's almost impossible to join 5-laps ranked lobby.

I'll write more next days, waiting for updates...

[PS4, 1.04, Career Mode] Fuel Glitch

Racing for Williams and during the Bahrain GP 25%, fuel is depleting rapidly. I set the car to lean mix but nothing changes. Had to restart the race and max out the fuel to 8+ laps. This slightly helped but I had to keep the car in lean mix for the entire race.

[STEAM] [1.04] Can't change Fuel Capacity

I Expirence a strange Bug that arrent allow me to change the Fuel capacity before the Race start.
It shows 105kg max but only i have 90kg in my Car (Cant go higher to reach realy the Max Fuel Capacity) so i must Race wiht -5 Laps at beginning

Maybe the Fuel Practice Programm is Bugged

Error. The session no longer exists. Error code CP7

Hello guys,

i have the problem that after a certain time in a custom lobby i get kicked out with this message:  Error. The session no longer exists. Error Code CP7
I tried then hosting the lobby myself but the same thing happened again. My nat-type is 2 and my connection is good with 100 mbits download and 40 mbits upload. I play on PS4 and i don’t have any issues with other games. Also i opened all ports for F1 Games and i had the same issue in F1 2017.

Any fixes would be much appreciated.

F1 2018 ps4 audio problem

Hi, I have noted an audio problem in f1 2018, sometimes I heard a sound like a continuos "tictictic" really fast, like a timer. If I switch off ps4 and later I switch on the console this annoying sound disappeared. The question is if someone else noted this "bug" and if there is a way to solve it.

Game crashes to desktop when trying to start the Spanish GP (Full Wet)

Hi,

My game crashes to desktop everytime i try to run my Spanish GP in Career Mode. I can still play in Grand Prix mode or in multiplayer, even in Spain. The only thing that changed is that it's a full wet race. I do not get any error messages when it crashes, it just goes back to the desktop. This happens after both cutscenes presenting the track, then the grid. The screen turns black and it crashes. I already verified my files, and nothing was found out.

Platform : PC
Game Version : 1.04
Game Mod: Single Player Career Mode
Accessoiries used: Wheel+Pedals (G27)

PC Specs : GTX 960 / Core i5 6500 / 16 Go of ram.

[PC] [F1 2018] [BUG] Sound crackling, distorted and sped up when Sampling Rate is above 48kHz, again

I can't belive that this bug , that was present in the launch Version of  F1 2016!, is again present in F1 2018. Codemasters, why?

Bug Report Form

Description
When starting the game the sound is distorted, crackling and sped up.
It happens when the sampling rate of the audio is set above 48kHz in the Windows audio settings.
The distorted, crackling and sped up sound is heard throughout the game.

System Spec
CPU: AMD FX-8370
GPU: AMD Radeon R 390 8GB
Soundcard: Creative Soundblaster Z
Headphones: Sennheiser PC 350 SE
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32Gb DDR 3
OS: Windows 8.1 (64 bit)

Steps to reproduce
Set the sampling rate of the audio in Windows to 24/16bit/88,2kHz, 24/16bit/96kHz or 24/16bit/192kHz -> start the game -> listen to the Sound throughout the game. -> distorted, crackling and sped up sound
Set the sampling rate of the audio in Windows to 24/16bit/44kHz or 24/16bit/48kHz -> start the game -> listen to the Sound throughout the game. -> sound is almost normal, though some minor crackling can still be heard in Videos.
There might be other sampling rates above 24/16bit/48kHz affected by this bug.

Achievement Bug

So I just finished the Spanish GP and I lost 5th gear with 5-6 laps to go. But did not get the "It's in there somewhere" achievement for finishing a race with a missing gear. As I'm upgrading reliability it's unlikely it will occur again which is frustrating.

Pit limiter holding at wrong speed [PC]

  • I was heading to the pits in Q2 when I got a warning for speeding in the pit lane. I rewound to check whats going on and noticed the speed limiter is holding me at 47mph instead of 37mph
  • Im on PC
  • Game Version 1.04
  • I was in single player career mode.
  • I had a DRS failure on my outlap but other than that all I did was head to the pits after completing one flying lap.
  • I am using an xbox 360 controller.
